6-Session Workshop on Sundays with Instructor Richard Dischler
FEE: $499 Advanced registration required
LOCATION: Oakland (Montclair Village) Classroom
Digital photography has altered in many ways how photographers take pictures. It has encouraged the, “shoot, look at the LCD panel, delete, and shoot again” philosophy of capturing images. This philosophy often leads to the sure and certain belief that somewhere along the way a good image will result. The photographic “truth” today is the same as in the past, preparedness and pre-visualization will help to eliminate “luck” and insure a higher percentage of great images.
This is a mentoring workshop and will emphasize the pre-visualization of imaging. Over the course of six months the workshop, participants will be guided and critiqued in the discipline of what makes a good image using a variety of assignments. The assignments will be focused on assisting participants to develop their own visual style and workflow. Each session will require the participant to show several final prints.
The classes will be conducted by Richard Dischler, the National Sales Manager for Direct Source Marketing. Dick currently teaches Basic and Advanced Lighting for Digital Photography at Sarber’s Cameras. He has taught in a variety of formats workshops and classes on photography from 1976 at locations across the US.
