Field Trip To Alcatraz – Thursday, May 17th

David Sarber is going to prison! Join him on Thursday, May 17th for a photo excursion to Alcatraz.

We will meet as a group at Pier 33, go to the island as a group and get started, as a group. The photography will be a self generated activity and the photographers will be operating at their own pace. We will not be going back as a group. The ferry returns to SF every half hour and you can leave at your preferred time. The following items are not allowed: tripods, suitcases. Food is allowed to be eaten only at the dock on Alcatraz.

Sarber’s will have a limited supply of product for the photographers to use, Black Rapid Straps, Hoodman Hoodlupes, Promaster reflectors, filters and other select items.

This workshop will look into the issues and resolutions for how the digital camera reacts to various lighting situations. Advanced tools and techniques will be presented that will benefit even the professional photographer. The Basic Studio Lighting Workshop (DP104) is a prerequisite for this course.
